Digestive struggles are more common (and painful) than you think
The human body is incredible. From the simplicity of taking a breath to high-performance athletics, everything that the body does is extraordinary.
And yet, there are times when we push our bodies too far. Too much time in the sun can hurt our skin. Smoking is bad for our lungs. And as far as food is concerned, most people need some help digesting things from time to time.
Digestive issues are common
Digestive challenges in one form or another are par for the course for a lot of humanity. NIH reports that digestive diseases affect 60 to 70 million Americans. According to GI Alliance, more Americans are hospitalized with digestive diseases than any other condition.
These are issues that are hardly restricted to the shores of the United States, too. The Ashkenazi Jewish population is four times more likely to develop either ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease. Europeans are at higher risk for GERD. It’s estimated that two-thirds of the world’s population suffer from lactose malabsorption (which can develop into lactose intolerance).
One comprehensive study revealed that as much as 4 in ten adults around the world “suffer from functional gastrointestinal disorders of varying severity.” Everywhere you turn, humans are struggling with digestional issues.
Struggle is the right word to use here, too. Whether it’s a complex disease or a food intolerance, when digestional concerns arise, they can be uncomfortable and painful. They can also severely impact social interactions and overall quality of life.
Intoleran is working to address the issue
Some digestional concerns are very serious. For instance, Crohn’s disease is a major digestional complication that should be dealt with through medical diagnosis and treatment.
However, other digestional concerns, such as a food intolerance or IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) are less dangerous. They can also be addressed through simple solutions at times — and that’s where intoleran comes into the picture.
Our digestive enzymes support the basic activity of breaking down food so that it can be digested and absorbed by the body. Our expansive catalog covers a variety of different intolerances and can even be used to help ease IBS symptoms. Some products, like Quatrase Forte, can even help diagnose unknown digestional issues.
Helping the world enjoy food again
At Intoleran, our goal is to help those around the world suffering from digestional issues enjoy their food again. We’ve accomplished this by addressing three key points.
First, Intoleran enzymes are high-quality. We avoid the use of unnecessary fillers and produce our enzymes in our strictly controlled manufacturing plant in Donkerbroek in the Netherlands.
Second, we make sure to keep our supplements affordable. While nothing is free in life, the ability to obtain elite digestive solutions at a good price point is an important step in cultivating a higher quality of life.
Finally, we’re working hard to make our products accessible around the world. Intoleran products are already available in different countries. The most recent one to join that list is the United States, where we recently listed on Amazon’s North American e-commerce marketplace. This means any American with a postal address can order high-quality, affordable supplements.
While this is a happy milestone for our team, it’s hardly the end of the line. We’re continuing to conduct research, test products, and expand our availability in an effort to help folks in every corner of the world truly enjoy life again.
