Add the required number of drops to the dairy product. Make sure the drops are mixed well into the dairy product by shaking or stirring well. Then leave it in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, at least 80% of all lactose will have been broken down. If you would like a completely lactose free dairy product, add more drops or leave it for longer in the refrigerator before use.

You can use the Lactase Drops for making various liquid (sweet) dairy products, lactose free. Depending on the amount and consistency of the product, you can add a number of drops. After 24 hours, 80% of all lactose in the product has been broken down. Products that you can make lactose free using the drops include: Milk (5 drops per litre, chocolate milk (5 drops per litre), whipped cream (5 drops per 250 ml), cooking cream (5 drops per 250 ml), condensed milk (10 drops per 250 ml), cream cheese (10 drops per 250 ml).

Unfortunately, the drops are not resistant to an acidic environment and therefore they are not suitable to make acidic dairy products such as yogurt, cottage cheese or sour cream lactose free. However, you can take a lactase tablet or capsule to still be able to properly digest all lactose.

If you use the Once a Day product you can, in theory, properly digest all the lactose you ingest in a day. In some cases, for example if you are very sensitive to lactose, it may be necessary to take a lactase capsule or tablet to digest large amounts of lactose. However, for most people this is not necessary and the Once a Day is sufficient to properly digest all lactose during the day.

The Once a Day needs some build up of time to have the full effect when used for the first time. This is because the probiotics need some time to build up in the intestines. This takes about 5-14 days after the first use for most people. The effect of the Once a Day will continue as long as you take a capsule daily.

Feel free to use the Once a Day capsules for a long time, as this does not result in any disadvantages or side effects. Many of our customers have been using this product for years with positive results. You can also choose to use this product temporarily, for example during a holiday. If this is the case, please take into account the build-up period of 5-14 days after the first use.

For sensitivity to fructose or fructose intolerance, we have the product fructase. This contains the enzyme Xylose Isomerase for the breakdown of fructose from food.

Our supplements can only help with the non-hereditary fructose intolerance, which is also named fructose malabsorption. This is a problem with the absorption of fructose, which causes gastro-intestinal complaints. When you have hereditary fructose-intolerance, you can absorb fructose, but then in the liver the fructose-1-phosphate will be accumulated. Those people need to avoid the intake of fructose completely, and our supplements can't help with this unfortunately.

People with fructose-intolerance (malabsorption), cannot absorb all the fructose from food through the intestinal wall. With a result the fructose will be transported from the small intestine to the large intestine. Here the intestinal bacteria will ferment the fructose and this causes gastrointestinal complaints such as diarrhoea, stomach ache, flatulence etc. The reason why they cannot absorb fructose from food can be a defect in the transport mechanisms which your body normally uses to absorb fructose through the intestinal wall.

You can use the fructase capsules in all ages. The only thing is young children can't swallow capsules. You can open the capsule and just give the enzyme powder with some drink or spread it over the food.

For fructans, we have the product fibractase forte. Our combination supplement quatrase forte contains several enzymes, including for fructose and fructans.

I suspect your symptoms are due to inadequate digestion of fructans/galactans. Fructans and galactans are found in foods like onion, garlic, leeks, beans, etc. Our fibractase forte capsules help with the digestion of fructans and galactans, which will reduce or even eliminate your symptoms. I recommend that you give these capsules a try.

We unfortunately do not have a supplement that can help break down gluten. Do you have an established intolerance to gluten? Or perhaps you have a fructans intolerance which has been established? Wheat products contain a lot of the carbohydrate fructans, this can cause dam symptoms if you are sensitive to this. When there is no celiac disease diagnosed, intestinal problems by products containing wheat often caused by the fructans. In addition to wheat, fructans can also be found in onions and garlic, for example. To better digest fructans we have the supplement fibractase forte.

The enzyme Alpha Galactosidase converts oligosaccharides (carbohydrate chains of 3 to 9 together) into smaller sugars like glucose. So your blood sugar goes up as a result, a point of interest if you have diabetes, for example. However, you cannot gain weight by using fibractase forte because the net caloric value of the food remains the same, it is only broken down better and faster by the help of the enzyme in digestion.

This way, enough of the digestive enzymes get into the body that help digest complex carbohydrates such as fructans, galactans and lactose. Should this amount be sufficient, you could try a lower dosage. How many capsules are sufficient may vary from person to person. Overdosing, by the way, does not have any negative effect and is therefore not a bad thing. In some cases it is better to be on the safe side in order to avoid unnecessary complaints.

Our Quatrase forte capsules are safe to use several times a day. We do recommend that you adhere to the maximum set number of capsules per day. For Quatrase forte, this is a maximum of 15 capsules per day.

With IBS we often recommend the use of the Quatrase Forte, because it helps digest many different carbohydrates and therefore helps relieve the symptoms and complaints of IBS. Also, with IBS there are often several sensitivities at the same time, which is why this combination of enzymes is very suitable to use.

For histamine intolerance, it is best to use our DAO Plus capsules. These contain the DAO enzyme that can digest histamine from food. In addition, the capsules contain Vitamin C and Quercetin which additionally help to lower the histamine levels in the body. You can take 1 capsule of DAO Plus 3 times a day. For example, you can use a capsule with each main meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner), or whenever you take a histamine-rich meal. Our capsules are intended to be used alongside a histamine-restricted diet, so it is not the case that using the capsules will allow you to take unlimited histamine-rich foods. However, the capsules do help digest normal amounts of histamine from food, which will reduce your symptoms.

You can combine our products cozidase and DAO Plus for the fastest effect. You can take cozidase everyday (2 capsules a day) and you can take the DAO Plus 3 times a day. 1 capsules just before your breakfast, 1 capsule before lunch and 1 capsules just before dinner. In this way cozidase will stimulate you bodies own production of Diamine Oxidase which helps to lower your histamine level in your body. The DAO Plus will digest the histamine from food, so your histamine level will not raise because of histamine in food.

DAO includes products containing the Diamine Oxidase enzyme. The DAO Mini tablets contain only the Diamine Oxidase enzyme (DAO). The DAO Plus capsules contain Vitamin C and Quercetin in addition to the Diamine Oxidase enzyme.

The amount of the active Diamine Oxidase enzyme is the same in both products, 20,000 - 30,000 HDU per tablet/capsule. If you want to use only the Diamine Oxidase enzyme, you should choose the DAO Mini tablets. These are easy to swallow (5mm diameter). If you also want the benefits of the additional active ingredients Vitamin C and Quercetin, choose the DAO Plus. If would like to spread out the quantity of DAO enzyme during your day then it's possible to open up your recommended dose of 3 capsules and just take the small beige DAO tablets multiple times a day. That way you can still adhere to the maximum dose of 3 capsules a day but are able to take smaller dosages of the DAO enzyme.

No it doesn’t. Cozidase does not contain Diamine Oxidase. Cozidase does provide the building blocks with which the body can make its own Diamine Oxidase.

Our advice is to take 1 capsule twice a day with a meal. For example 1 capsule with breakfast and 1 capsule with the evening meal.

No, we strongly advise against it. Cozidase contains, among other things, copper, zinc and vitamin B6. If you ingest too much of these, you may experience side effects, such as severe nausea. Always stick to the recommended daily dosage of 2 capsules a day and do not take more than 2 capsules.

The maximum dose of Starchway (for all age groups) is 15 capsules per day. You can use 1-3 capsules per meal depending on the size of the meal, amount of sucrose/starch, etc.

When you take Starchway with your meal, the enzymes work directly to digest the starch and sucrose. So you will notice the effect directly. We recommend starting with 3 capsules prior to meals. This way enough of the digestive enzymes enters the body. Should this amount be sufficient, you could try a lower dosage. How many capsules are sufficient may vary from person to person.

Most of our products are suitable for children ages 2 and up. With young children we recommend opening the capsule and take the powder with a drink for example. Our products once-a-day and cozidase are recommended from age 4 and up. Our lactase drops are suitable for all ages, so also for babies.

Almost all our products are suitable for vegans, except for the products: Once a Day (only vegetarian), DAO Plus and DAO Mini.

The products are safe to use daily, even in the long run. The digestive enzymes perform their function in the small intestine and leave the body by the natural way. Thus, no harmful effects or side effects can occur. However, stick to the recommended maximum daily dosage of the respective product.

If you have a lactose intolerance there are a number of options from which you can choose. Below, we briefly explain which product is suitable for various requirements. More information can be found on the product page of the relevant product. Lactase 2500 - our lowest dose, for a low degree of intolerance or when consuming small amounts of lactose. A small, easy to swallow tablet that is also ideal for children. Lactase 10,000 - our relatively high-dose capsules, ideal if you are sensitive to lactose or want to consume larger amounts of lactose. Lactase 20,000 - our strongest option, ideal for high levels of intolerance or when consuming large amounts of lactose. In addition, it is convenient to use because the tablets are breakable. Our Lactase Drops can be used to make your own liquid (sweet) dairy products lactose free, such as milk, cream or custard. Useful for cooking or baking. Our product Once a Day does not contain the lactase enzyme, but a combination of 6 specially selected lactic acid ferments, lactase precursors. Due to the fact that only one capsule per day needs to be taken, this is the most convenient solution.

A lactose intolerance does not necessarily have to be officially diagnosed, you can just try our products to see if your complaints reduce or hopefully disappear. If your symptoms disappear after using our products, you can assume that you do indeed have lactose intolerance. You can use 1-3 capsules with each lactose-containing meal. The lactase enzyme breaks down the lactose in the intestines, which should make your symptoms disappear.

We recommend starting with 3 capsules of lactase 3000 or lactase 10,000, 4 tablets of lactase 2500 or 2 tablets of lactase 20,000 prior to lactose-containing meals. This way, enough of the digestive enzyme lactase enters the body, which helps digest lactose. Should this amount be sufficient, you could try a lower dosage. How many tablets or capsules are sufficient may vary from person to person.

With the lactase tablets and capsules, we have different strengths available. This strength is expressed in FCC per capsule. You can choose from 2500, 10,000 and 20,000. If it is your first time trying one of our lactase products, we generally recommend trying one of the higher strengths first, for example the 10,000 or 20,000. Starting higher will give you a clearer indication of whether it will work well for you or not when you first try it. At a lower dose, it may be unclear if it helps or not, or it may be that the dose wasn't high enough. If you have a milder degree of intolerance or only want to use the capsules or tablets for smaller amounts of lactose, you can choose the 2500 tablets. If you are more sensitive to lactose or want to consume larger amounts of lactose you may want to choose the 10,000 or 20,000.
