How Do Digestive Enzymes Work?
Enzymes are proteins that help break down certain nutrients in your body. Each enzyme has a specific job and can’t perform other functions. In supplement form, they are identical to the enzymes your body naturally produces, meaning they work exactly the same and are safe to use, even for long-term or daily use.
- Lipase: This enzyme is essential for fat digestion. It breaks down fat molecules into smaller components, so your body can absorb and use them for energy more efficiently.
- Protease: This enzyme breaks down proteins into smaller amino acids, which are crucial for muscle and tissue growth and repair. It also provides the building blocks your body needs to produce hormones, enzymes, and other important molecules.
- Gluco-Amylase, Invertase, Amylase and Maltase: These enzymes help break down starch into sugars, making it easier for your body to absorb energy from carbohydrates.
What Are Lipase Mix, Enzymix, and Starchway PRO?
- Lipase Mix contains a high dose of lipase, the enzyme involved in fat breakdown. Since meals typically don’t just contain fats, it’s been enhanced with amylase and protease, which help break down carbohydrates and proteins.
- Enzymix is a broad mix of various digestive enzymes that complement each other’s work. This combination is designed to support normal digestion, especially during heavy or diverse meals.
- Starchway PRO is an advanced version of the original Starchway, with a mix of four enzymes designed for a more efficient breakdown of starch and sucrose. It has stronger doses of invertase and gluco-amylase, plus two extra enzymes—amylase and maltase—for even better support when digesting starchy meals like pasta, potatoes, and rice.
When to Use Lipase Mix, Enzymix, and Starchway PRO
- Lipase Mix: If you need specific support for fat digestion, Lipase Mix is your best choice. It contains a higher dose of lipase, making it ideal for people who want help breaking down fatty meals.
- Enzymix: This is a more comprehensive formula that supports your overall digestion. It’s a great option for those looking to boost their digestion during heavier or more varied meals.
- Starchway PRO: If you’re looking for strong support for digesting starchy meals like potatoes, pasta, or rice, Starchway PRO is the strongest option. It contains 4 times more gluco-amylase, 7 times more invertase, and two extra enzymes (amylase and maltase) compared to the classic Starchway.
