The sample Quatrase forte (10,000) contains a, by our in-house dietitians specially formulated, high-dose blend of the digestive enzymes alpha-galactosidase, xylose isomerase, invertase, and lactase. Alpha-galactosidase helps with the digestion of complex carbohydrates, such as fructans and galactans, these are found in grains, vegetables, and legumes and it reduces the risk of gas formation. The sample Quatrase forte (10,000) contains a, by our in-house dietitians specially formulated, high-dose blend of the digestive enzymes alpha-galactosidase (1200 h), xylose isomerase (7500 h), invertase (500 h) and lactase (10,000 FCC). Alpha-galactosidase helps in the digestion of complex carbohydrates, such as fructans and galactans. These are found in grains, vegetables, and legumes and they reduce the risk of gas formation*. Lactase helps in the digestion of lactose**.

first use

We recommend starting with 3 capsules of Quatrase forte prior to meals. This way, enough of the digestive enzymes enter the body. Should this amount be sufficient, you could try a lower dosage. How many capsules are sufficient can vary from person to person.

You can take the capsules with water, for example. If you have trouble swallowing, you can also take the contents separately or dissolve them in a glass of water. The capsules are suitable for use with children (from 2 years of age). After ingestion, the enzymes are active for about 30-45 minutes.

Take 1 to 3 capsules at a time just before a meal. A maximum of 15 capsules per day.

We recommend starting with 3 capsules prior to meals that include lactose and complex carbohydrates. This way, enough of the digestive enzymes get into the body that help digest complex carbohydrates such as fructans, galactans and lactose. Should this amount be sufficient, you could try a lower dosage. How many capsules are sufficient may vary from person to person. Overdosing, by the way, does not have any negative effect and is therefore not a bad thing. In some cases it is better to be on the safe side in order to avoid unnecessary complaints.

Within quatrase capsule range, we have different strengths available: quatrase and quatrase forte. Quatrase contains the enzymes lactase (5,000 FCC), Xylose Isomerase (5,000 u), Alpha Galactosidase (600 u) and Invertase (250 u). Quatrase forte contains the enzymes lactase (10,000 FCC), Xylose Isomerase (7,500 u), Alpha Galactosidase (1,200 u) and Invertase (500 u). If this is your first time trying one of our quatrase capsules, we generally recommend trying the highest strength first. You can reduce it later if necessary.

You can safely use our quatrase and quatrase forte capsules several times a day. We do recommend that you stick to the maximum number of capsules per day. For quatrase and quatrase forte, this is a maximum of 15 capsules per day.
