We recommend starting with 3 capsules prior to meals that include lactose and complex carbohydrates. This way, enough of the digestive enzymes get into the body that help digest complex carbohydrates such as fructans, galactans and lactose. Should this amount be sufficient, you could try a lower dosage. How many capsules are sufficient may vary from person to person. Overdosing, by the way, does not have any negative effect and is therefore not a bad thing. In some cases it is better to be on the safe side in order to avoid unnecessary complaints.

Our quatrase forte capsules are safe to use several times a day. We do recommend that you adhere to the maximum set number of capsules per day. For quatrase forte, this is a maximum of 15 capsules per day.

With IBS we often recommend the use of the quatrase forte, because it helps digest many different carbohydrates and therefore helps relieve the symptoms and complaints of IBS. Also, with IBS there are often several sensitivities at the same time, which is why this combination of enzymes is very suitable to use.

Yes, definitely. If you try the quatrase (forte) and you benefit from it, at least you know you react to one or more fermentable carbohydrates (FODMAP’s).
