After taking the lactase tablets or capsules, the lactose from food is digested immediately. The once a day is a probiotic with an average efficacy period of 5-14 days.

Within Lactase Tablets and capsules, we have different strengths available. The number behind "lactase" represents the dosage of the lactase enzyme in the product. The higher the number, the higher the dosage of lactase. You can choose from 2,500, 3,000, 10,000 and 20,000 FCC lactase.

If you have trouble digesting lactose, there are a number of products that can help:

• Lactase 20,000: Tablets with the highest dose of lactase (20,000 FCC), ideal for digesting large amounts of lactose.
• Lactase 10,000: Capsules with a high dosage of lactase (10,000 FCC), ideal for digesting large quantities of lactose.
• Lactase 3000: Standard capsules with a lower dose of lactase (3000 FCC), to be used with smaller amounts of lactose.
• Lactase 2500: A small, easy-to-swallow tablet with the lowest dosage of lactase (2500 FCC). Very suitable for children.
• Lactase drops: Use to make (sweet) dairy products lactose-free. Handy for cooking or baking.
• Once a day: A probiotic with a combination of 6 specially selected lactic acid ferments. Easy to take long-term as only 1 capsule needs to be taken daily.

We recommend starting with the highest dose of the product when first using it. This way, enough of the digestive enzyme lactase enters the body. Should this amount be sufficient, you could try a lower dosage. How many tablets or capsules are sufficient can vary from person to person.

The tablets are breakable, making them easy to dose. They are not made to be chewed. If you chew the tablets, they may stick to the molars. You can swallow the capsules whole. If you have trouble swallowing, you can also open the capsule and dissolve the contents in a glass of water.

When using lactase for the first time, we recommend starting with the highest dose (per meal):

• Lactase 20,000: 2 tablets
• Lactase 10,000: 3 capsules
• Lactase 3000: 3 capsules
• Lactase 2500: 4 tablets
