Low FODMAP Strawberry Milkshake

Summer is just around the corner, so it’s time for a delicious milkshake! You can easily make it yourself. Feel free to vary with other low FODMAP fruits like raspberry, pineapple, or blueberry (check the low FODMAP serving sizes).
Ingredients:
- 250 ml milk (about 1 cup)
- Intoleran Lactase drops
- 150 g fresh strawberries (about 1 cup, chopped)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional)
Preparation:
Make the milk lactose-free:
Add 10 drops of Intoleran Lactase drops to the milk. You can use the milk immediately after adding the drops.
If you can wait a little longer, add 1 drop and refrigerate the milk for 24 hours. After this, the milk will be at least 80% lactose-free!
Make the milkshake:
Put the lactose-free milk, strawberries, and vanilla extract in a blender.
Add ice cubes if you want a cold milkshake.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
Serve:
Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
Optionally, garnish with a few fresh strawberries or a dollop of lactose-free whipped cream.
Because strawberries have natural sweetness, this milkshake is delicious without added sugar. If you want it a little sweeter, you can add a few drops of stevia or another low FODMAP sweetener.
