Testpack 6 Capsules
Description

Starchway contains a unique blend of the digestive enzymes Invertase (7500 u) (derived from yeast) and Gluco-Amylase (2500 u). The enzyme Invertase helps in the digestion of sucrose, while the enzyme Gluco-Amylase helps with the digestion of starch. The capsules are easy to twist open, allowing the powder to be taken separately or mixed with water. Starchway is suitable for children aged 2 and up.

Starch and sucrose
Starch is a complex carbohydrate found in grain products, potatoes and pasta. It is also present in other grain-based foods like pasta, corn, legumes and processed foods such as biscuits, chocolate, chips, breaded meat products and snacks.
Sucrose, also known as saccharose or sugar, is found in fruits such as apples, bananas, mangoes, pears, oranges, watermelon and in processed foods where sugar has been added, like biscuits and sauces.

Digestion of starch and sucrose in the body
Starch consists of two long chains of linked carbohydrate molecules. The digestive enzyme Gluco-Amylase breaks down starch in the small intestine into smaller sugars, making them easier to digest. If there is an insufficient amount of Gluco-Amylase, starch cannot be effectively broken down, leading to reduced absorption in the small intestine.
Sucrose is composed of two linked carbohydrate molecules: glucose and fructose. The Invertase enzyme in the intestines splits sucrose into glucose and fructose, allowing the intestinal wall to absorb them. If there is a deficiency of the Invertase enzyme, sucrose cannot be split and thus cannot be adequately absorbed in the small intestine.

Frequently asked questions

about Starchway

We recommend taking the capsules immediately before, or with the first bite of a meal. This way, the digestive enzymes enter the intestines together with the food.

We recommend starting with 3 capsules before meals. This way, enough of the digestive enzymes enter the body. Should this amount be sufficient, you could try a lower dosage. How many capsules are sufficient can vary from person to person.

You can safely use our starchway capsules several times a day. We do recommend that you stick to the maximum number of capsules per day. For Starchway, this is a maximum of 15 capsules per day.
