DAO Plus

DAO Plus is een Diamine Oxidase (DAO) enzym bevattend voedingssupplement. Het is een DAO Plus is a dietary supplement containing Diamine Oxidase (DAO) enzyme. It is a food supplement and NOT an anti-histamine. DAO plus is available in a pack of 50 capsules.

When you take one capsule of DAO Plus just before a meal, the capsule dissolves in the small intestine, releasing the enzyme Diamine Oxidase which mixes with the food. This makes it easier for your body to digest histamine.

Take one DAO Plus capsule with some water just before a meal containing histamine. Use a maximum of 3 capsules per day.

DAO Plus contains the enzyme Diamine Oxidase, which is extracted from pig kidney. It is therefore not suitable for vegetarians.

DAO Plus capsules contain 4 small tablets per capsule. It contains 2 gastro-resistant tablets with the Diamine Oxidase enzyme, 22,000 HDU per capsule. This allows the enzyme to pass through the stomach (gastric acid) without problems and to do its work in the small intestine. It also contains 1 tablet with Vitamin C and 1 tablet with Quercetin. 

The ingredients of DAO Plus are: Fillers: microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose; Quercetin 95%; Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid); Glazing agent: ethyl cellulose; Potato starch; Stabilizer: hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose; Pig kidney extract with 7% diamine oxidase (DAO); Medium chain fatty acids; Stabilizers: magnesium stearate, oleic acid, sodium alginate; Anti-caking agent: stearic acid; Humectant: glycerin; Anti-caking agent: magnesium carbonate and dicalcium phosphate; Rice starch, Colouring agent: caramel; Vegetarian capsule: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.

The product is safe to use. The active ingredient Diamine Oxidase is an enzyme, which can also be produced by our own bodies.

Because diamine oxidase is a relatively large enzyme, it cannot pass through the gastrointestinal wall and therefore cannot enter the bloodstream. Therefore, any excess amount ingested simply leaves the body through the faeces.
