You can take DAO mini prior to a meal. You can take the capsules with water for example. Swallow the tablet whole, do not chew it because of its acid-resistant coating. After ingestion the Diamine Oxidase enzyme is active for about 3-4 hours, as the tablet dissolves slowly in the intestines. DAO mini is suitable for children aged 4 years and older.

Intoleran DAO mini contains gastro-resistant mini tablets with the enzyme diamine oxidase (DAO).
Ingredients: Filling aids: Microcrystalline cellulose, Hydroxypropyl cellulose; Pig kidney protein extract with 7% diamine oxidase (DAO); Glazing agent: Ethyl cellulose; Potato starch; Stabilizers: Sodium alginate, Magnesium stearate; Medium chain fatty acids; Glazing agent: Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose; Stabilizers: Oleic acid, Stearic acid.
Contains per tablet 4.2 mg pig kidney protein extract with 0.3 mg Diamine Oxidase.
DAO mini is not suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Our DAO mini tablets can be taken several times a day. We do recommend that you stick to the maximum number of capsules per day. For the DAO mini, the maximum is 1 capsule per meal 3 times a day.
DAO includes products containing the Diamine Oxidase enzyme. The DAO mini tablets contain only the Diamine Oxidase enzyme (DAO). The DAO Plus capsules contain Vitamin C and Quercetin in addition to the Diamine Oxidase enzyme.
The amount of the active Diamine Oxidase enzyme is the same in both products, 20,000 - 30,000 HDU per tablet/capsule. If you want to use only the Diamine Oxidase enzyme, you should choose the DAO mini tablets. These are easy to swallow (5mm diameter). If you also want the benefits of the additional active ingredients Vitamin C and Quercetin, choose the DAO plus. If would like to spread out the quantity of DAO enzyme during your day then it's possible to open up your recommended dose of 3 capsules and just take the small beige DAO tablets multiple times a day. That way you can still adhere to the maximum dose of 3 capsules a day but are able to take smaller dosages of the DAO enzyme.
